AIR 2000 Narrow Airport Aisle Wheelchair – Surace

The Surace AIR 2000 Airport Aisle Wheelchair is a specialised transit wheelchair designed to assist passengers with reduced mobility in narrow spaces inside aircraft, trains and ambulances. With a maximum width of just 35 cm, it is designed to manoeuvre through confined aisles where conventional wheelchairs may not fit.

Manufactured in Italy, the AIR 2000 combines a reinforced chrome-plated steel frame with fireproof polyester upholstery to support demanding transport and passenger-handling environments. Despite its robust construction, it weighs approximately 12 kg and supports a maximum user weight of 130 kg.

The wheelchair features front swivel casters for manoeuvrability, directional rear wheels for controlled movement and a contoured seat with a padded backrest. A foldable headrest extension provides additional head and neck support during transfers.

Passenger restraint is an important part of its design. The AIR 2000 includes two backrest safety belts, one seat belt and a heel strap to help secure passengers during movement. Optional accessories such as drum brakes, document storage drawers, carrying bars and custom operator branding are also available.

Available through Petra Mobility in the UAE, the Surace AIR 2000 is designed for airport ground-handling teams, airlines, railway operators, ambulance services and other professional passenger-transfer environments.
