The VeloChair pedal wheelchair in Dubai offers an alternative to conventional manual and powered wheelchairs. Designed in the USA, this customisable mobility chair allows users to move independently through a pedal-powered system rather than relying on someone to push them or using an electric motor.

Designed for people who have difficulty walking longer distances but retain functional movement in at least one leg and one arm, the VeloChair combines everyday mobility with active pedalling. Users pedal forward to move ahead and pedal backward to reverse, while dual steering tillers provide directional control without requiring a traditional gripping action.

Available through Petra Mobility in the UAE, the VeloChair can be tried at a local demonstration before ordering. Each chair is custom-built around the rider's measurements and mobility requirements, with an approximate delivery timeline of 6 to 10 weeks after order confirmation.

Constructed using titanium, aluminium and carbon fibre, the VeloChair weighs approximately 19 kg and features a foldable design for easier transportation. Its four-wheel configuration, adjustable pedal boom, folding seatback and customisable pedal options make it a practical mobility solution for suitable users seeking greater independence.
